1. Why should we invest in our honeymoon?

You’ve spent months (maybe years!) planning the perfect day, now it’s time to plan the perfect escape. Your honeymoon sets the tone for your new chapter, and it deserves more than leftover energy (and budget). When you invest in your honeymoon travel planner, a well-planned, stress-free, memory-making getaway, you're investing in you.
And honestly? The peace, pampering, and quality time will feel priceless.
2: How much should we budget for a honeymoon?
Most couples planning a Caribbean or Mexico honeymoon typically spend $6,000 to $10,000 for a week, depending on the resort level, room category, and time of year. For a Butler Suite, it could be a bit more depending on the resort.
My best advice:
Set a comfortable budget first.
Then let me match you with the best possible experience within that number.
I’m very good at helping couples decide where it’s worth upgrading and where it’s not, so your money actually shows in the experience.
3. How long should our honeymoon be?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, but for most honeymoon couples, 7 to 10 nights is the sweet spot.
You’ll want:
• A day or two to fully decompress after the wedding
• Enough time to actually relax and enjoy each other
• A buffer day before heading back to real life
For Mexico and the Caribbean, even 5 to 7 nights can feel amazing since travel time is short. If time off is limited, I also plan “minimoons” right after the wedding, followed by a longer honeymoon later when life slows down a bit.
4. When should we start planning our honeymoon?
Ideally, we should start 7 to 12 months before travel for all-inclusive resorts and cruises.
If you’re getting married during:
• Peak season
• Holidays
• Or have your heart set on a resort that sells out quickly
I recommend starting closer to 1 year out. Earlier planning means better room choices, better flight options, and less stress for you.
5. Where should we go for our honeymoon?
That depends on three things:
• Your budget
• How much time you have
• The kind of honeymoon you want
Some couples want pure relaxation. Others want food, excursions, or island hopping. I specialize in adults-only all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean and romantic cruises, so I’ll guide you toward destinations that match your vibe instead of overwhelming you with options.
6. Should we stay in one place or split our honeymoon?
For most weeklong honeymoons, I recommend staying in one location. Packing up and transferring mid-trip eats into valuable relaxation time.
If you have 10 nights or more, splitting destinations can work beautifully, and I’ll design it so it still feels easy and seamless. I have many couples who really want to experience an Overwater Bungalow, but just can’t afford the price for one week, so they will split their stay between 2 room types and end on a high note in the Overwater Bungalow.
7. Are all-inclusive resorts always the best choice for honeymoons?
Not always, but they are an incredible option for many couples.
All-inclusives are ideal if you want:
• One upfront price
• Great food and drinks included
• Romantic touches and honeymoon perks
• Zero decision fatigue
Cruises are another fantastic honeymoon option if you love variety, ocean views, and waking up somewhere new without repacking. I’ll help you decide what fits your personality best.
8. What’s the best time of year to go on a honeymoon?
Sometimes the best time is simply right after the wedding, and that’s totally okay.
If your dates are flexible, I can help you avoid:
• Peak pricing
• Crowds
• Less favorable weather
We’ll look at shoulder seasons, resort availability, and cruise itineraries to get you the best value without sacrificing the experience.
9. How much should we plan to do on our honeymoon?
Less is more.
I follow a simple rule:
One planned activity per day, max.
That could be:
• A spa day
• A romantic dinner
• A snorkeling or island excursion
Honeymoons should feel relaxed and unstructured. Overscheduling kills the romance fast.
10. Should we book excursions in advance or wait?
Anything that’s a must-do should be booked in advance.
Everything else can stay flexible. I’ll help you decide what’s worth locking in early and what’s better left open based on weather, energy levels, and mood.
11. Do honeymoons have to happen right after the wedding?
Not at all.
Many couples choose:
• A minimoon right after the wedding
• A delayed honeymoon months later
• Or a split approach
